Term 4 Week 4

The first of our Kindy Transition mornings start this week and we look forward to welcoming all Kindy 2015 parents to the school with a morning tea to be held in the library after they have left their kindy starter in the capable hands of their new buddy. Such an exciting time for everyone.

On Wednesday this week we also celebrate World Teachers Day with a special morning tea for the teachers during the recess break.  Familes from year 2 and 6 are baking and preparing delicious food for the teachers to enjoy – many thanks to those who have volunteered to prepare the food.

Last weekend was the Year 4 Cocktail Party – many thanks to Melissa and Patrick Bergin for opening their home and hosting a wonderful night where we enjoyed a Paella evening!   A fabulous night was had by all.

Last week I reported that we raised just over $5,000 from the fun run and in the past week further funds have come in to the office so we have now raised $6,000 in total. Congratulations for Morgan and Sophia Au for being the highest fundraisers – they both were presented with movie passes as last weeks assembly.

Yearbooks will go on sale this week so be on the look out for the email in the next day with all the details on how to order.  We will also be conducting our annual P&C Expenditure survey this week – we would be grateful if you could take just 5 minutes to complete the survey so we can start the planning process for 2015.
