Swimming Carnival – Class Lists – Band Registration
I hope everyone had a fantastic first week back to school and they were excited to be reunited with friends in the playground. A big thank you to the Year 1 team who put together the morning tea for the kindergarten parents on Thursday morning – it was great to see so many happy and relieved parents that the transition went smoothly.
We will be working on class lists over the next week and finalising class co-ordinators so please look out for these lists from your year co-ordinator. We will send a first draft to everyone so we can confirm that all contact details are correct and final versions will be sent a few days later. Cocktail parties kick off in March with the Kindy parents having their event on Saturday 1st March. Invitations will be out this week.
Band trials were held for all year 3 students so all instrument offers should have gone home on Friday in your child’s bag. If you did not receive your note please email Sarah and she can tell you know the details. Band registration is now due for ALL bands so if you have not done so already please visit the website and register for the coming year – practice sessions begin Wednesday this week. Hire instruments will be ready for collection on Tuesday morning but you will not be able to collect your instrument unless you have registered. Please visit the P&C Website for all the information on all aspects of band. If you are still interested in joining the band it is not too late – please email Sarah.
The School swimming carnival is this coming Friday at Lane Cove Pool. The carnival is for children who are turning 8 years or older this year. A note came home last week with permission slips and entry forms so please see your teacher if you did not receive one. Forms are due to be returned to the silver box in the office foyer by Tuesday 4th February. Parents are welcome to come along and support!
