A very big welcome back to everyone for another school year and in particular a warm welcome to our new families in both kindergarten and throughout the other years. I hope you have had a wonderful and relaxing 6 weeks away from school and you are ready for routine to start back again!
There is a lot happening in our first few weeks back at school so please keep a look out for updates as different events are scheduled. The school will hold an information evening in the coming weeks for all parents and the date will be advised shortly.
Over the Christmas break myself and Rebecca Buckton have been busy putting together a new P&C website which is a great resource for everyone. It has loads of information about different events, forms that you may need, contact info for all those responsible for various committees, band info and a calendar of all events. My weekly update will be added each week in case you miss the email plus other dates and information as it becomes available.
We would love you to bookmark the website so you can easily visit when you need to – http://ccpspandc.org
The school Training Band is gearing up to start a new year with the information night being held tomorrow night (Wednesday 29th) in The Shell. The training band is open to all students in year 3 and above. Further information about all the school bands can be found by visiting the website here.
A reminder that everyone is to return to the same classroom that they were in last year when they arrive tomorrow. Kindy families who join us on Thursday are invited to attend the Tea and Tears Morning Tea after you have farewelled your son or daughter. The morning is being hosted by the year 1 families in the library between 9.30am and 11.30am – we promise tissues for those who need it.
Finally I understand that there may be a few people who are still on my list that have now moved to different schools. I have attempted to take off those who I knew about but if you have accidentally been left on this email distribution please drop me a quick email and I will remove you straight away.
Have a fabulous first week back to school and please email if you have any questions at all.
